Meet Mitch Micale: Dedicated Educator & Candidate for PA State House District 130

Dedicated Teacher. Community Advocate. Future-Focused Leadership for the 130th District

“We live in the best part of Pennsylvania. Let’s keep it that way for our children and grandchildren. As your State Representative, I will strive to make our residents even prouder to call the 130th District home. My goal is to make Berks County the most family-friendly and business-friendly region in the Commonwealth. We can achieve that by protecting our local economy and preserving the beautiful agricultural landscapes that define our community. I’ve dedicated my career to serving our students in the classroom, and I’m ready to do the same for all of our neighbors in Harrisburg.”

From the Classroom to the Community

His hands-on experience working with parents and children informs his firm belief in local control, ensuring that education decisions remain in the hands of the community rather than distant bureaucrats. In the State House, Mitch will use his frontline perspective to advocate for policies that empower teachers, respect parental rights, and prioritize the individual needs of Berks County students.

Dedicated Educator, Berks County Leader, A Fresh Voice for the 130th.

Family

Mitch believes that family is the foundation of strong communities. The values of faith, hard work, and responsibility that shaped his upbringing continue to guide him today. As a teacher, he sees every day how important families are in shaping the next generation, and he works tirelessly to make sure students are prepared for success. Mitch has always gone the extra mile to support children and families, whether by leading in the classroom or creating programs that give young people the tools to thrive. For Mitch, strengthening families means strengthening the 130th District—and ensuring that Berks County remains a place where values are passed down and opportunities are built up.

Mitch has built his career on a commitment to service and leadership. From the classroom to community organizations, he has consistently stepped forward to do the work that makes a difference. As a teacher, he has guided students through challenges with patience, discipline, and a focus on growth. Mitch doesn’t shy away from responsibility—he takes it head-on. His commitment is simple: to serve with honesty, energy, and dedication, always putting the people of the 130th District first.

Future

Mitch is focused on building a stronger future for Berks County and the 130th District. He serves on the Board of Trustees at Reading Area Community College, where he works to expand opportunities for students, strengthen workforce training, and connect education directly to the needs of local families and businesses. His vision is clear: better opportunities for students, economic growth that supports local businesses, families that are empowered to succeed, and a community where conservative principles guide the way forward. Mitch is determined to make sure the 130th District is not only preserved but positioned to flourish for generations to come.

Why I'm Running

Dear Neighbors and Friends,

I’m running for State Representative to bring a fresh, conservative voice to Harrisburg—one rooted in real-world experience and a deep commitment to service. As an educator and community leader, I work closely with families and local officials every day. I see firsthand both the challenges we face and the incredible strength of our community.

I believe government should reflect the people, not control them. I am running to defend our constitutional freedoms, protect our Second Amendment rights, uphold election integrity, and fight for the values of faith, family, and personal responsibility that make Pennsylvania strong. That commitment includes standing firmly behind our first responders—the police, firefighters, and emergency personnel who sacrifice daily to protect us. They deserve our unwavering support and respect.

My decision to run stems from a lifelong belief that Harrisburg has lost touch with everyday Pennsylvanians. For too long, career politicians have expanded government, increased the burden on taxpayers, and compromised our shared values. I will fight for property tax relief, fiscal responsibility, and policies that empower families and small businesses rather than bureaucracies.

Leadership begins with listening. I strive to be an accessible, compassionate, and present representative—someone who takes the time to hear your concerns and stands beside you when you need support. Pennsylvania deserves principled leadership that shows up and delivers results. I am ready to bring new energy and a clear vision to Harrisburg to protect our freedoms and ensure a brighter future for the next generation.

Sincerely,

Mitchell Micale
